Hi guys...help required regarding a H2H Jaeger SMR-128 dish positioner motor. It's been in use since 1996, and I've just burnt out the 36v motor component. The armature and brush holders have got rather hot and practically melted. All other parts are fine. Does anyone know the address or website of Jaeger ? Or an agency that deals in replacement parts in the UK ?

I'm currently {no pun intended} experimenting with reed switches for this model as when connected up to a VBox they seem to have a short life.

Hello everyone.

@satseeker2

Try looking at the motor on a conventional 36v actuator as I'm quite sure they are the same size. A couple of years ago I stripped the motor end from a spare actuator I had and it fitted it inside the housing of a SMR 1224. I know that the SMR 128 is slightly different but they may share the same motors.

Good luck.

Regards to all,

Peckish.

Hi Guys,
Thanx to Peckish & Rickt for your suggestions...plus a pat on the back to Machia for coming up with the address of the UK agents. Thanx mate. I'll post a result if positive, or negative, in the near future. Just to help, if anyone has a similar problem.
