I always tried to avoid the DSR emu before and was happily using the Sammy_Hummy program which was very simple & easy
I have been away for some time & after reading the various posts I understand now the Sammy_Hummy is no more suitable for the new files, I have tried so many times to use the DSR with no Success I have looked for some demo or help files on how to use but failed to find any !!!
Appreciate if anyone could explain how it works or refer me to a site where I can learn from it.
Thanks Much appreciated
not realy all that different mate! just looks a little different
make sure you have humax selected in the ? menu
select the correct comport
wipe the ram open the key file and load it over with humax turned on (some people say it only works on a fta channel but ive never had any problems with doing it on other channels)

Thank yoou Zad...
When u open the DSR the default is on SECA , I should leave it as it is ?
Then load the key file and click on WRITE? that is all ?
yes just leave it on seca unless you want to make changes to the key file that you have loaded.
and yes just click on write and away you go.
just remember to erase the ram first and select humax and your correct comport

Hi,pompi and zad,pals!
Just wanting to add some help, here's a whole ''how-to'' for new DSR users,it might help more friends:
When you downloaded DSR9500_EMU_Ed56_CW,did you notice if all files that should
be in there, were there? The whole pack of this software includes the following :
1: DSR 9500 EMU Ed56_CW,the main exe
2: Editor_ReadMe,a text file
3: Microsoft_Script_Control,a zip file
4: MSINET,a zip file
5:Mswinsck,a zip file.
First you have to unzip all 3 zipped files and then, getting into the new 3 folders,
you have to install them in your PC,by double-clicking on the them and getting the
successful installation-messages.
Then you have to run the main exe and do the following settings:
button : ? --> Settings --> Humax Def --> one left click.
Now again: ? --> Settings --> Com Port --> Com Port 1 --> one left click.
Now : ? --> Settings --> FW Check --> Off --> one left click.
Last : ? --> Settings --> Verify from Box --> On --> one left click.
Now you have created a new NotePad script called ''Settings'',you can see it in
the same folder with all the rest files.
After you have checked all these, try to load the latest key bin to your DSR exe.
Turn on Humax and tune it to a FTA channel and press ''Write'' button on DSR exe.
Now you get this message:
''Do You want to write already loaded file ?''.
Answering ''Yes'' makes the exe to start the loading and the verification, giving
this message when finished:
''Written file Verified OK!''.
Now you can turn Hummy off, using STANDBY button on the box,
to save key-bin correctly.
