Blocked VN8000S

Hello,

I have the above receiver and when I tried to load new software via coputer it just blocked and been like that since than.

I need to use JTAG procedure but I never done it before, can you recommend someone to whom I can send it to for repear and uploading latest version.

I'm in UAE.

If you have not got the red light on all the time try Force update I have just but it onto the forum here.

I'm not sure because I put it back in the box and sent it today to Dubai for fixing and having the latest software installed.

I hope they can sort it if not I have to try to do what you suggested.

I had the red light off death. On my mvision FCIS7000 and the only way to get it back is to JTAG it. You have to us the right one for your STB and you have to get the JTAG to do it. Here the link I but for the Mvision FCIS7000 I don't think this will do yours but not sure.

Could it be that the receivers that cannot upgrade and have the red light on, are being blocked by the middle east server. The members should state which server it is that they are using.

If he turn on the STB and only get the red light and cannot do anything else I don't think the server would stop the STB from working for FTA channels I think the server would only stop him getting pay channels. Does sound like he has to JTAG his STB. As said I have done mine and got it working again but cannot remember how to do it know.

I don't think the 7100 supported a server, so it is probably not due to that.

hi iam new member but i have some problem in my receiver VisionNet VN8000CIS i tray many software but when i done and connect it and tray to enter to channel search the receiver it hange and restart so what can i do wich bootloader and software and how can i do it maybe my way was wrong and sory for the long question

what software you want use? original or payserver?

you cant use software if you dont know which bootloader have in reciver.... this can result very unstable software....

if you want to use original software, you must first upgrade bootloader with repair software SW1.10 then upgrade software to original SW1.69

if you want use payserver, you must upgrade boootloader to SW1.28 (or 1.24)...

also check and replace condensers in power supply unit (PSU)
