problem with phillips plasma

bought a phillips 50 inch plasma about seven weeks ago the problem is when a have teletext on for about ten minutes than go back to normal tv the text images stay on in the background for about five minutes and the picture is unwatchable is this normal or is the set faulty,any advice is welcome thanks

It's called image retention, which can affect all Plasmas but it really shouldn't be happening after only ten minutes. Check out avforums.com for more info
