help with s*y reciver

ok every one thinking of getting a sly hd reciver off you know where at half the price from sky,will i need to change the lnb?also what would i need to do to get a sly card and activate it all my self.think £300 for the reciver from them with free instalation is a ripp off at the moment i just have a normal sly reciver with no sly plus

also if i bought a new reciver would i be tied again to another 12 month contract?

yes new contract yes new lnb (if you wish to use the recording facility or you already have a quad/dual )

quad lnb are cheaper than chips on the auction site , and straight swap

so get one if yours is a single output and you are diy

thanks every one,just 1 more thing if any of you have the hd channels is every thing in hd?or just a select few things on the hd channels im not wanting movies just sly1 and descovery

sky would like you to think that everything is hd however i think its only about 25% true hd at the moment after all sly 1 aka the simpsons channel show older shows all the time before the days of hd recording

i think most of the sport and new movies are in hd tho
