Question about hard drives

I currently have a Dreambox DM500. The 9100 here is getting a lot of positive comments. I don't own a receiver with a hard drive. Can you fit any 3.5" hard drive in these (ie a computer one) or do they have to be for a satellite receiver.

What would I need if I got one of these. A normal 3.5" IDE computer hard drive or a special Satellite receiver hard drive??????

Probable need a new image for HD's to work properly.

you can use any 3.5 inch standard ide/pata drive up to 1tb , and you could use a 2.5 inch laptop one with suitable cable and lead ( the adapter kits )
