ok, with fathers day fast approaching my family wants to get our dad a Garmin. we are aiming to spend around about £100 but are able to go a little bit above if necessary.

what i need to know is with the price budget we have, what is the best option to go for? like i said we was going to go for Garmin but we dont know what model, what version (software version) etc to go for. also if a different make like TomTom is better and theres an offer online or in stores then also need to know what version and model to go for.

also i live in the United Kindom (UK) so if there are deals on the internet the have to be able to ship to the UK.

Hi

Would definately go for the Tom Tom Go 910, does everything except make the tea. Have seen them advertised on a well known site from £200
Well worth paying that little extra for quality, cheapest is not always the best.

Heres a start for ya, if you look around i'm sure you will find it cheaper than£160 as said there are better ones but if your low on budget this will do the job.

The only problem with the One V2 is that it might not work with the Keygen if you want to use any copied maps.

You can either get the TT One Regional with just the UK map (or any other different country if you're not in the UK), or the Tomtom One Europe - which has the map of Europe on it. Check out here for all the different Tomtoms & what maps are supplied with them :-

I'm just saying that they keygen does not always work with the One v2 units so you may not be able to use any of the copy maps that are 'available'.
