Size of Dish for Alicante

Can some one tell me what size dish I would need to receive BBC and ITV from Eurobird in Alicante?

My old mans in Javea (probably about about 100k north of Alicante) and he's just had to have a 2.4m dish installed to get BBC

Strangely as you move down towards Malaga the required dish size drops to 1.8m on some charts I have seen.

Possibly this is a sub-beam, intended for the Gibraltar area.

I Live 200kms south of there and 1.8 Channel Master and I get everything, my 1.5 motor gets BBC as well, prob needs 2.4 for his "paella".

You will need a 2.4 to ensure no dropouts during bad weather. However, have you tried a local microwave installer, I get all the british channels and sky including sports etc... for 168 euros a year after the installation cost of 500 euros, and big dish to worry about the microwave dish 50 cm

BBC / ITV are on Astra 2D not eurobird and a 2.4 mtre dish is necessary in the alicante area for 24 hr reception
although a 1.9 would work until 10pm ish

yup 1.9 will work most of the day but 2.4 is the ideal. Alternatively microwave as discussed above with a small dish

Do you have an actuator and polar mount purchased in Spain fitted to your 1.5 m?? The reason I'm asking is that I'm in Seville and having trouble locating a supplier. All suppliers I can find in Spain only deal in diseq motors, which are only really suitable for dishes up to 1.2m
