In the good old days with a viaccess 2.4 card we used to be able to add providers, extend the expiry date etc.
I think the clever people responsible for this managed to monitor emm's or updates to find a message that would open the card.
If this was the case (I'm not 100% sure) then will the updates for *** view cards be monitored in case the same thing is possible. (SV advertising update you card online soon)

I think you are talking about good old days with PC 2.3 cards... ;)

Yes but were we able to do this by a weakness in that version of card or was it that a provider was daft enough to transmit updates which could be monitored and then copied to access the card.
I used to be in a viaccess forum which tried to find keys by brute force but I think that closed when the task was considered impossible.

Yea the Old 8byte keys are not too hard to brute force and where becomeing quite possable on modern computers in recent years, but viaccess now uses 16byte keys. there are 18446744073709551616 possible keys for a 8byte key. with a 16byte key there is somthing like 3.403x10^38 possable combinations which is a heck of alot more. sad but true.
Anyone want to try brute force a conax key??
