I have set up my laptop to connect to the 9100 and currently run with mgcam /ccam and gbox 2.25 with no problems.Tried to set up router through my pc and it will not connect.I did everything according to instructions from darkman but no luck.It is a bit of a pain having to update through my laptop.Has anybody else had problems and if so how did they fix it.Many thanks in advance.

Are you using DCC software ?

The DCC Software willl need
1. IP Address PC
2. IP Address of box
3. IP Address of your router gateway
4. The name and password of your TM9100

ON THE TM9100
Check the IP address has not changed in the TM9100 from what you last had as if you unplug the modem and router , then sometimes it will change your IP Addresss

should be no problem with a router , I just set the ip on the tm9100 to end in 10 and other details correctly in the comms section of the tm9100

dont forget that a router uses straight ethernet cables whereas the pc direct connection uses a crossover ethernet connection

so use straight cables from pc to router , and also from the router to the tm9100

then setup the comms on the tm9100 , setup your dcc or ftp program and it should be fine

always important to ensure you have the same ip address range on all machines

mine is router 192.168.0.1 and tm9100 is 192.168.0.10

in your case you needed the range of 192.168.2. and then the last numbers applied to pc and tm9100 as the router would have been on number 1
