hi just got back from hols my sat system not working noticed the lens broken on the lnb is this the problem ?
can anyone help me out

Water will get in (if it hasn't already). Cling film is a temporary cure, but new LNBs are cheap, and it's an easy job to change it. Suggest you change it, dry it out inside the house for a couple of weeks, then try it and keep as a spare if OK.

I would have thought so

lnb,s are quite cheap so try another one , you could use a skyware one or similar just to test it

you can also test your box on a sky feed that goes to a sky box

I'm really surprised at the number of people involved in this hobby that have not got a spare LNB handy as well as the odd length of Co-Ax cable and spare "F" connectors. So cheap and handy to have available.
On the other hand perhaps I'm just the lucky one to have such things as a spare dish & lnb's & motor & receivers to hand should anything go wrong with my set up.
