triax 88cm to 1.1m

No its not a waste of money and you will notice quite a bit of difference.

I used to have an 80cm dish and I changed it for a 1.1 metre dish and got lots of other channel/satellites.

It also strengthened the signal of the existing channels/satellites that I already had.

Basically the bigger the better.

I replaced my 88cm Triax with a 98cm Funkee and have to say the improvement was far better than I expected with the main improvement being the signal quality:)

depends on what sats your looking at with it, and if you would watch the extra channels you could get?

Hi m8 I'm looking at the Funke dish and like you I'm in cornwall.How is it standing up to the winds and salt air ?

dunno really - it just annoys me at times, when theres the occasional feed, that i can almost get but not quite, dropouts etc, and 2m on 12.5w unless, its SUNNY and daylight, the signal drops from 46% to 0%

so much hassle tho, swapping the dish over, when on the roof

the funke 98cm and the gilbertini are as good as a 1.2m dish and they are light.

triax are also good but heavy so it depends on your motor.

Has been up for just about 18 months and has never moved, and it is pretty exposed as for salt air I am quite high so get more mist than anything but there are no signs of rust;)

i have had a funke 98cm dish on a stab motor in ***bria for about the last 4 yrs with no probs at all been worth every penny.

i guess the lnb matters too.

i have a cheap m4plins twin LNB - i could probably squeeze a bit more out with an invacom or something.

get a smart titanium on MTI lnb.
I did not find that invacom any help.
