Pace DS810XE PROBLEM

Just bought one of these receivers and connected it up.
Switched on and set up screen appeared to choose language..but when I try to select ok light flashes on box but nothing happens.
Changed batteries and power lead .......still same.
Swiched off mains etc still comes back on set up screen with English highighted but box still is "locked up"...any help muchly appreciated
Also tried controls on front of box and still nothing

send it back and get something different, its a box with lots of problems.

Have got box exchanged.
Installed newone(after an hour or two!),all ok except no sound.I have it connected to a Toshiba HD TV through the dvi port using a hdmi adaptor, also have red and white audio cables connected from tv to box.
Any help or suggestion muchly appreciated.

Tried receiver on another tv with straight hdmi connection and all ok.
So gonna try and sort out prob on my tv.
