New boy wants HD!

Hi all I am really really new to the world of sats. i would like to get a HD box for my new TV. What chans can i get in HD? are we talking like 1 or 2 or like 1000 - 2000? Can you boys with existing systems pick up normal chans like sky one living etc? the missis would not be happy if she cant watch britains next top model!!

Also as i say i am new to the world of sats i am looking for a good tutorial on what can and cant be done. anyone know of a link to one? I dont want to be paying a subscription but i do want to get all the chans... if you get me:cool:

really? thought cards had been hacked etc etc. my bad soz. i really need a beginners guide but cant find one!

I have modified a linux season emulator (lincardemu) to work with gbox, so cs is possible for HD. I think there is also other software out there (SBCL) that might do a similar thing...
