Tomtom Speed Cameras - 27th July

PocketGPSWorld.com Speed Camera Database Version 5.075 27 Jul 2007
For this release we have had a total of 60 submitters adding/modifying 214 static and mobile cameras across the various camera databases.

***Tomtom UK Zoned Cameras only at the moment***, if / when I get any others I will add them.


The ZONED cameras are split up into different camera groups - Gatso, Mobile, Redlight, Specs & Temp - and then these groups are split up again into the various different speed limits - 20mph, 30, 40, 50, 60 & 70 - except for the Redlight cameras.

The CONSOLIDATED cameras are just split up into the different camera groups Gatso, Mobile, Redlight, Specs & Temp - so just one file for each group.

The SINGLE cameras has only one file which covers all of the cameras.


How to upload the Speed Cameras :-
Extract the contents from whichever file you decide to use, then copy all the .OV2 and .BMP files and paste them into the map folder on your memory card.

What are the pMobile files?
The pMobile files were added as an extra set of warnings so that you could be aware of places that may have a mobile camera in place. They are sites that have been submitted but not yet been added to the main database They have not been checked for accuracy, nor have they been visited by any verifiers for the feasibility. It would be of benefit if you could report, via the submissions page, whether you have seen the site in use or any other information that may help verify or remove the pending site.

Hi,

I don't know if anyone else has noticed some of the BMP files are dated March 06, where as on V5.073 they were all dated July 11th 07, not sure why this is, it may be a mistake?

I have used the BMP files from V5.073 with the exception of the files dated July 28th.

Don't worry. The BMP files are only the little picture icons of the different cameras. The date on them is not important.

i have no sound announcing the speed limit or the cameras is that normal , im more intrested in the speed limit . (using gps receiver and nokia e65 tt6) .thx

You should get some sort of warning sound if you have set he option to give you a warning sound. There are two links in my first post that will give you the info to get the warning sounds.
