Moving to SW France soon and taking the faithful channel master 1.2 with me.
In the Uk the initial sat for alignment is 1*W as it is the nearest sat to true south, does anyone know what sat to use in France.
SW France, bit to the left of Limoges:)-PP

You will be same Long as London so nearest to South for you will stillbe 1W.

stocksie is correct, go for 1west, but if that fails you will have to go fom 5W instead.

There is no trouble with most of the 28E channels in Bordeaux on a 80cm so that should be easy to find with a 1.2. Haven't tried anything else there except Hotbird which is also strong.

1W Thor Nordic beam may be iffy though (see Lyngsat for footprint) but the 0.8W Intelsat 10.02 Spot1 and 3 beams should be easy too.

Just back from SW France and picked up some Itvs and BBCs nr. Ascain on a 64cm Triax solid with .3lnb ,great signal on 13east and 19 east but 1 west was a nono.
Reckon you will have no problem with a 1.2 CM mate.
