urgent humax 5400 question

just doing an upgrade on a mates humax 5400 to 3.4-8.7b, something ive just done to 3 other boxes, but all of a sudden its stopped loading with a fault of U-AC(i think) and now when i try to swith it on its stuck on the H2.08!!! its not flashing the dots or anything. HELP, WHATS HAPPENED?

im completely lost to whats happened. :confused:

E-AC = Incorrect application CRC-32 Download latest version of application sw. If it doesn't make it,the flash memory can be thought to be defected

you could try reloading the software, power off the unit and then start the procedure off then switch on the unit (cross fingers)

make sure your loading the correct software for your box and using the correct software to load it

is the box a 5400z+ if it is make sure you have compiled the software correctly

hi zad, can you point me in the direction of the original 5400 firmware? dont think its a 5400.

cheers marco, downloaded the file and its going in.

do i load the catone 3.2 and then 3.4-8.7b straight over the top?

depends on what firmware you trying to load!

if its a big file no doubt it already contains catone!

been away from 5400 stuff for a while so cant advise you better im afriad

i gathered you just put firmare on ?
just put HOT 8.7b or 8.8 in should be ok

hi marco and zad, thanks for the advise, everything is back working 100%.

for future reference to others-

i loaded the original firmware from the link which marco left (clicked power on when prompted for humax connection) with humax toolbox loader
loaded catone 3.2 (may not of needed to)
loaded the latest channel list from pet
loaded 3.4-8.7b with HDF smart
loaded latest keybin and YESSSSSSSSSS......everything working 100%

i got your humax working at the first go. not bad for an amateur. you just need to sort out your card to get it working.

still cant believe you got that nearly new humax 5400 for £5.....u jammy git.
