Can't seem to get my Humax to work :-/

Hi guys,

Need some help please...

I have a Humx 5400z and a Hotbird/Astra set up....I've been out the country for over a year and wanted to get Humax working again - I did the following:

1. Uploaded the latest firmware(8.8) using the Humbox Uploader tool
2. Uploaded the latest channel settings( GioGippy 13-19 settings)
3. Updated the Key.bin file (link from Larals as I didn't know which one to use from here) using the Sammyhummyedit

When I started my Humax everything was in Italian - changed that to English. Then I changed the config setting to card +emu+s, also changed the time to GMT +2.

The signal is fine and FTA like BBC World is coming on OK. But channels such as Premiere etc are not coming - getting a message that its scrambled,

Anything I'm doing wrong?

Have you got a funcard in the slot?

Yes I do...purple one which I used before....

Try DSR 9500 Ver 5.6 CW, to upload keys.

But TPS works with the patch so might not be this, For Auto on TPS put it on France 4/5 to update..

Don't know which patch you use for this to happen, so i would also download the patch 8.8 from this site and try that..

dont forget hummy has to be on when writing the key bin, with the setting, 'card+emu', or 'card+emu+s'

but not just set to 'card'

Hmm didn't work....when I loaded 8.8 it said trying to move Motor....I don't have a motor - just a dual LNB.

I then manually changed the antenna settings but still didn't work...I loaded the key etc...nothing well confused now :-(

Tried everything OK...I've made progress:

-PW seems to be working
-TPS and Tequilla etc isn't - should they be?

I've changed the time too...

load the humax hot patch with HDF SMART 1.8

load the latest keys with DSR 5.6

dont forget to switch it on(standby switch) and off at the end of loading for the keys to save

if prem is working then the others should be ok.

my box wont work with D+ if the clock is set to work with TPS.

to auto-update TPS, put the humax on france 4 or 5.
