Can I just check on this as well.

My brother bought a 1500ci and digitalb card but says he just gets an initializing message. Even though it cleared when I lent him my T-Rex cam, it still won't clear in the card reader.

Should it clear in an out-of-the-box Technomate, or does the receiver need patching?

Usually needs patching to make the card reader multicrypt,but conax is the original,some say conax on the box.

He's tried again and it still won't clear except in the T-Rex cam.

He lives too far away for me to visit and says there is no obvious place in the menu to activate the card reader.

It seems a shame for him to have to buy a cam when it should surely work right away. Is there an option in the menu or a special code to choose Conax?

Has he activated the patch - go to Menu -> System Information -> Click OK - He should see Cas Menu & Biss Menu, if not then he should key in 2004 -. Cas Menu & Biss Menu will appear. I hope that this is of some help to him.

got new technomate 1500 got software loaded into it it has got cas menu and biss menu might need software loaded into it
