Hi

Once again I have a dead humax, I think its the power supply unit as this seems to be ticking but no lights are on on humax 5400. This happened to me once before about 2 months ago when I replaced a conductor and it started to work again, anyway does anyone know where I would be able to buy a replacement power supply as I aint got the time to start messing with the psu again.

Cheers

J

The PS boards on the auction are a bit cheaper, and the seller claims they're superior. He takes your old board in P/Ex, so presumably the ones he's sold are used, repaired, or recon. whtever you like to call them. Only a limited number of components will have been replaced. I'm not aware that Humax use anything other than 105 degree rated capacitors, but correct me if I'm wrong! Whenever I've used the boards from Humax, they've been fine, often for several years. Problems in the past have normally been with badly sited receivers, i.e. stacked equipment, magazines on top etc.
