DSR9500EMU56 & Vista, how to register OCX ?

Hi al,

I used to upload the key.bin file to the Humax with the DSR9500EMU56, I remember, that to be able to execute that program, I initialy had to register two activex elements, there were even two batch files include who did the job, you could also register the new OCX by using the command regsrv32 .... and so on.


Now my problem is, that with the VISTA on the new lap top, the program is not running, I thought it was because of the a.m. problem, but as I ran the batch files the system was telling me that it was not possible to run ....

Do you had the similar problem?
How can we get it sorted?

Create a shortcut to cmd.exe.
Right click it.
Select Run As Admin and register the ocx from that console window.

I did what you said, and the system says:

"... module successfully loaded,
but returns an internal error code, please
refer to this code"

what can be the problem?
Is DSR9500 working on your computer with Vista?

hi,
I am running vista ultimate, as admin (as i am the only user)with user account control turned off, and had no problems installing these files named

REG_Msinet.bat
REG_Mswinsck.bat

as in fact, damn my stuttering finger, i have just done again

oh and to clarify yes i am running dsr9500 5.6cw

can you try running in xp compatibility mode

right click program, chose properties, select compatibility tab, then tick check box 'run this program in compatibility mode', then chose xp

click apply, click ok
