How to watch 2 Satellites with 4 way splitter

Hi

I have 2 satellite dishes:

1 Hotbird
2 Astra 28

The problem occurs when I try to watch the channels, sometimes I can watch all channels then the next I can only watch lets say astra channels. I've connected a 4 way splitter to my Humax irci 5400 and played around with the antenna settings but now only one satellite will work.

I know this is a simple problem because I have had it working when playing around with the settings.

use a 4 way diseqc switch and connect 1 lnb to the first lnb input and the second lnb to the second input

now allocate these in the diseqc settings on the box so it switches properly between the 2 lnb,s as you channel hop or satellite hop
