Biss and emulation

I have tried to find an "Idiot's Guide" in an attempt to understand emulation and biss but without any success. Any help would be appreciated as I feel that I am missing out on a lot of available channels even with my Tresaurus Rex 4.6. I have a Humax 5400Z, a Dragon Cam and a Cas Interface 3 Plus which I recently purchased from our Sponsor. :confused:

Many thanks for your post which is very helpful.

If any member could now assist in pointing me towards an "IDIOT'S GUIDE" to understanding emulation I would be most grateful as I would like to be able to understand how to implement the numerous files on TPS in empb's daily predesaurus update files.
