When installing a 1m dish what is the min distance it can be from the wall to allow the dish to turn.(ie what the smallest bracket that i could fit.)Many thanks.....

the distance where it does not hit the wall on the left or the wall on the right.

Think about it if the dish is fixed in the middle you would need just over half of 1m to get a full lock
50cm = 19.69"
So a safe bet would be 24" T & K
Think thats right but I am a bit sleepy :redface:

The smaller the T&K brackets the less the wind has to get hold of! Normally 18" would be ample, 12" in some cir***stances. It partly depends on the design of the dish (bracketry on the back) and the type of motor/polar mount or whatever, which will themselves hold the dish off the wall. If the wall face fairly close to South, the dish doesn't really need to turn much more than 60 degrees in each direction. depending on your location, sats beyond that will be below your horizon. In a built-up area, 45/45 may be all you can achieve.
