Wanting to entre biss keys for the MGM channels the key is 16 bytes + the channel ID when converting this to DEC in the matrix form i get 30 bytes, from what i read in the forum i only need 20 bytes. How do i do that?
Cheers.

I've read that before & still unclear i need to know ch-ID, PMT PID & the PCR Pid for MGM channels 10E, how do i do that? & how to change it to DEC to get 20 digits only instead of 30 digits matrix form.

@marina,this is Humax section,do you have one? You're confusing me!
If you own a Humax then you know that ch-ID(Serv-ID),PMT PID & PCR PID of every channel are displayed on screen when pressing ? button, don't you know it?
As for the hex & dec values, every windows pack includes a calculator in help tools pack, doesn't yours?

Why do you need a matrix cam for biss channels,if you have a Humax?

I quot from some posts:

"How to:

This is the BISS key for AXN 30°W 11614H:
23 00 00 23 23 00 00 23 (an example only not the actual key)
To be able to use it in your Humax you have to make some adjustments:
The key in your Humax looks like this:
SID + PMT last byte + PCR last byte + key (without 4th and last byte)

Here we go:
1. SID for AXN is 0022 converted into hexadecimal = 0016
2. PMT 5497 = 1579 HEX
3. PCR 2202 = 089A HEX
This the key for AXN on 30°W for your Humax:
0016 79 9A 23 00 00 23 00 00"

More posts:

"We usually get a biss ch. codes in this form:NBA TV . Index: 1FFA .HEX key: 18396DEC81A625C0 (8 sets,16 digits)(this key is not the real one).

We need now the ch-ID in its heximal form(ch-ID of NBA is 4 and turns to 0004 in this case)
+ its PMT PID which is 32 and turns to 0020(we need only the last 2 digits)
+ its PCR Pid which is 8187 and turns to 1FFB (we need only the last 2 digits).
So the first 8 digits of the biss key-line are : 0004 20 FB.

Out of the 8 key-sets we skip the 4th and the 8th ones,so here is what is left:18 39 6D 81 A6 25,and here is the complete key-line : 000420FB18396D81A625
Using the remote we go to : Menu --> TOH --> Parser --> Ram Editor -->OK
Press P+ or P- till you see BISS-FIXED DCW screen,or press only the 'musical note' button (for radio ch's)
Go to an empty line : 00000000000000000000>Press OK. Insert the 20 digits-->Press OK.We exit all menus and then press STANDBY on the BOX to store"

I need to get this information: SID, PMT, PCR for the MGM channels to be able to do like the above calculation. Another problem, converting the 20 digits (like the above example) from hex to dec using 'hex to dec tool' i get 30digits form of 'mathematical matrix' humax only takes 20 digits, 10 bytes biss keys.
Cheers

Ok m8's I know how to get the info I need. To know the SID, PMT, PCR; press the ? Button on the remote. For the calculation, I’ll use the window calculator. I was using matrix tool to convert hex to dec this was my mistake.
Cheers.
