Hi Sat-pro,
It depends on you TV.
Check the resolution of your TV Pannel
(1280 x 720 or 1365 x 768 or 1920 x 1080) and a lot more.
Most of europe Transmitters are sending out there signal
in 1080i, S*y To.
So if your pannel has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 you will
get a perfect picture (NO scaling), that because the resoluton
of 1080i is 1920 x 1080.
The resolution of 1080p is also 1920 x 1080.
The resolution of 720p is 1280 x 720.
If your Pannel is closer 1280 x 720 and is a Progessive scan Pannel
Set you STB to 720p (Progessive).

my pace 810xe has a much better picture than my fortec passion even on SD you can see it runs smoother , i cant stand the way the passion looks when watching football on a SD channel it jerks on fast movement when the pace runs ok.

Hi Sat-Pro,
Why not up your HD content with a Diablo or super T-REX 4.6 cam.
The Diablo has the edge at the moment, you will need a Cas3 programmer to.
Cheapest Is £59 each (Diablo cam...Cas3).
With that setup you would have HD Films, HD Sport, and all the Nature.
Your Passion STB has 2 CI slots for the Cams.

Yes, have the Ferguson. Biggest plus point is the inbuilt EMU other HD`s don`t have, check out seller easy_digital shop on E_bay, were around 250 or so.

I think i might stay away from the fortec passions for now if it has poor pic qulity and buy a pace as they are only £60 on ****,
Can any one tell me what is the max number of channels you can store on the pace and can i set up a disque switch up with it for 28, 19, 13 east,
Also will the pace work with Diablo or super T-REX cams,

remember the pace is only best in viewing a picture the passion does seem to be having alot of firmware support and is getting better every day , pace have said version 27 will be out soon witch will sort all the bugs out (theres alot) , maybe wait to see what thats like before getting one. on version 21 it dont open premHD with the dragon cam . motor and switching lnb's is not the best .

@Dave859
I thought the pace was FTA only and contained no CI slots so is not suitable for CAMS hence the low price
If it does have CI slots which it must from what you have said then the price seems amazing

Look at an earlier thread Pace and Diablo Light. Some have their Diablo's working well in a Pace where as I'm struggling. I sure I have seen others saying that the Dragon also works with the Pace..
The Pace is a quirky box and takes a bit of getting used to. The instructions are not the best. However it's solid and looks to have a lot of potential if the software team keep working away.
