Thanks to the toh team, currently humax is opening various packages. If one is running gbox and is a client, is humax also a server of these packages?
Should in this case CAid be set to Card+emu+s as with card+s+emu, the toh firmware will not open the packages that humax opens with card+ emu

Can these packages be regarded as local cards in humax box?

Secondly in order to act as a server of say D+, one has to be watching that package?

Thanks

To be a server, you have to run server software such as NewCS. As such, a the humax cannot be a server.

Server software can be setup on a PC and the Humax connects to it and so becomes a client. WSP or Sharemax can be used to connect to a NewCS server.

A local card means just that; its in a cardreader attached to your server.

Humax's are fine for CS but linux based STBs (dreamboxes, technomate etc) are far better. These STBs can also run server + client software without the need of a seperate server.

..and NO, you do not have to be watching D+ to act as a server

PS Don't forget the rules...technical questions surrounding CS can be asked but do not attempt to ask for servers or clients otherwise you will be banned

So why some owing servers say that from humax on gbox software, they gain as well? Do these people lack the knowledge?

Not really understanding what you're trying to ask

You cannot share anything from your humax including whats available via emu's !

Hi Aslat,

Have you had WSP working in conjunction with a Humax? I was curious as to the performance of CS with a Humax box via WSP, as looking at WSP it would appear not to difficult a application to set up and configure?

Your thoughts would be welcome.

Cheers
