Just seen this on DM's forum, and I wonder if there is any connection with the first post:
Just wish to push this info for all people out there.
From french Sat TV mag TeleCableSat, page 15:
"It's finally on the 17th of october, that the operation of migration of TPS customers onto the Can***** offer, will begin. Region by region, they'll be contacted individually, by decreasing seniority and by postal mail, in order to agree on a rendez-vous, at their place, with a sat technician, who will redirect (free of charge) their dish towards Astra. This big migration will end before end of 2008. Be patient !"

So in theory TPS should remain on hotbird (and hopefully on our screens) until the end of 2008, thats still over a year to go :)
