Is it possible to use TVBrowser with DM500 and Gemini 3.50.

Just though I asked.

Whats TVbrowser?

You mean streaming to your PC from the DB?

Maybe this is what he is referring to, however as I do not have a Dreambox, i am unable to say if it will work:

Gives you TV listings up to 3 weeks in advance, primarily for UK and Germany.

Don't be put off by the German website, the program is in english...

he might mean web browser , this is possible if the plugin is installed on hdd/usb , there's no space for it on flash .

It is a tv guide software I have loaded on my computer. Just wonder which files I put in the Dreambox.

Be useful to have a guide that is not just now and next on most providers.

There are no files to be copied to your DM. :)

You must configure the "CapturePlugin" within TVBrowser itself. There are two drivers available for the DM's. Ensure you use the "Default Driver" for DM500/600/70x0 or "Dreambox 7025" for E2 boxes.

E.g.
"Channel 4" would be configured as "Channel 4/1:0:1:23f1:7e8:2:11a0000:0:0:0:" as the "External Number".

can anyone explain how to load this manually?
im using nabilosat and it wont install from the addons panel.it just states that its not a nabilosat plugin.thanks.ian.

Its not a plugin. Its an app for your PC/notebook. See Aldo's post above re URL where you can dl it from.

not much use though if you have to go to the pc to see whats on the tv.
ive tried everything aroung to get the epg working for sky uk on my 7020 and nothing works.i did have some success with mmgrabber downloading the files once a week and then sending them over to my box,but since ive changed to nabilosat,ive found that mv just wont work correctly,so thats stuffed that.the best at the mo is the rss tv guides,but its hardly ideal.
i just wish there was a good epg for the dreambox and sky uk,you would think that after all this time there would be one.ian.

Mplug and MV (aka Multiview) are a couple of great tools for DM70x0's. 7 days Sly EPG. Mplug grabs the xmltv data & MV displays it for you.

Certainly, no-go for DM500.
