hi *******,
give us your sys id and model and please tell us its not the 5400z+ (plus) that gives us something to start with, but also look up in the help stickies there is plenty of help up there

Are you using dsr emued56 or even dsr studio 1.2/1.3?

Remember to load keys while receiver is switched on and on a FTA channel. Then switch to standby with remote or button at the front of receiver once keys have loaded

usin emu 56cw never have it plugged into feed while updating and works fine on all other hummers i ever done! and should it really need a key bin since its au?...for now. in the parser\ram edit there is just all 000's for prov's and keys's this z model is a bitch

yes

after you load the patch you need to load a new key bin

hi *******,
f your box is patched its effectually turned back to a 5400, the fact its already patched says it can be.

you do still need a fun card with a old 6/1 file in it, and you do still need a key bin loaded into the box to start it off with.

i would suggest that you load a new channel settings file to clean it out, then reload the bin with dsr9600 56cw with verify on,

voith

this z model is a bitch

I have used a 5400z for years with no problems.
As voith mentioned it becomes a 5400 once it's patched.

you could also try loading an empty bin to clear that before loading one with keys
File / "load internal emtpy bin"

Hi *******,

IRCI has problem sometime to save keys to flash.

First of all, as voith driver stated above, please be sure to check your hardware tuner model (5400Z or 5400Z+ instead) since they use different patched firmwares versions.

Please send again a good HNF settings/preferences file, the send again full firmware file ToH3.4_HoT9.5b.hdf and finally please send a good and working key.bin with DSR9500 v5.6 but please be sure to set with copy&paste its Settings.ini file lile this:

[SETTINGS]
VERIFY=1
FASTWRITE=1
WRITEDELAY=10
FWCHECK=0
READSPEED=4096
DEFAULTPORT=1
NAGRAEXTEND=1
READTIMEOUT=8192
ZEROCOUNTCHECK=0
E-BYTE=FF

Hi ******* if there is all 0000 in the ram editor
try puting catone 3.3 in your hummy again
this hapened to my once
then put latest bin in hummy
what i have to do when loading keys is load dsr up
take null modem cable out of pc reset hummy
then put cable back into hummy and write
this is down to the computer you could also try this
failing this i would start again

1. delete all channels
2. firmware
3 latest patch
4 settings
5. bin
6. pmc

Hope this helps

Marco

Hi slips, voith is right you cant patch this reciever untill it has been patched with a z-board.

i have seen these on the bay before but they were a bit pricey concidering you use them for about 5min then you no longer need it.

I had the same problem - all providers and keys were zero - and just couldn't get the key.bin to load. Marco's suggestion to disconnect the cable and reset the humax while DSR was open worked first time. Thanks to everyone in this thread as it was all useful stuff.
