A friend has asked me to put together a system to receive D+ and I'm looking at getting a TM-1500 CI+ or super. I'm personally using an Xtreme + DragonCam with a 45cm sky dish and have no problems with reception and signal strength in the SE of England.

I'm getting a 60cm dish to go with the Technomate but I'm not sure whether it's worth going for the standard CI+ for sensitivity or the Super. Do I need the high sensitivity or am I better off with the normal receiver?

I'd also welcome any comments on my choice of D+ receiver.

Thanks

either model will be fine but an 80cm dish would be better , with a 0.2 or 0.3 db lnb

but a 60cm dish on one sat will be ok

Most people will go for the super as if the signal is weak is better to get a bigger dish.
Both will give D+ and a lot more and they are all AU at the moment so with the latest patch no cam is required, ensure you have a null modem cable to update the reciever.

It a good idea as its a well supported reciever and easy to use

Thanks for the advice.:)

I've just ordered the Super and cable so hope to play with it next week.
