THANKS ALOT TO ANRAKH FOR LETTING ME COPY/PASTE THIS GREAT GUIDE.

What you must do to patch your Echolink Receiver:

First of all, do you have a null modem cable?
If not, go buy yourself one.
Make sure what you get is a null-modem cable. If the merchant doesn't know what it is, or is puzzled and asks you what it's for, go somewhere else.

If you have the correct cable, download yourself a loader from the Loader section. Try any of the Aliminiupg versions. Aliminiupg2 is recommended.

Download from here https://www.satpimps.co.uk/showthread.php?t=69755

Download a patch from the Software section

If you've scanned in some channels already, and have lists and settings set up, backup your channels lists and settings...
Use menu > channel > "Save channel list and settings"
Default password is 0000
If you change and forget the password, the master password is 3327

Connect the null modem cable to your receiver and to your PC. Use a serial port if you have one, if you use a USB-Serial adapter, make sure you know what com port it's using.

Run your loader and select your downloaded patch.

If you have the option, select maincode for your upgrade type.
If it's your first time patching, and you have no lists or settings to save, use the allcode + bootloader option
Otherwise only use maincode or casdata to update your keys.

Turn your Echolink off.

Click "start" on your loader

Turn your Echolink on.

Your Echolink should now go into upgrade mode. Your loader will run some tests and start loading, and the dislay on your Echolink will show flashing and moving lights.

Leave it until the word "end" appears on your receiver.

Close your loader, and reboot your receiver.

Then you're done.
