Winter Maintenence Reminder
Got this from a website and thought it wuld be helpfull to people on here.
For those interested, a good time to get outside and do some basics on your dish & motor. Unless you want to wait until the snow comes...
Give the dish a wipe over.
Use some fine grease on any exposed moving parts - attachment bolts on dish - jack arms - and anything else that acts as a bearing or moves when the dish does.
Any other bolts you don't want to rust or corrode.
Check the lnb & cable conections are waterproof, and put some new self amalgamating tape on if needed.
Check the cable run for any cuts or nicks - and any junction connectors in the cable.
Nothing worse than having to sort an outside problem when it's freezing cold, especially if a ladder is involved.
