Subtitle only when it wants

Im having subtitle problems on my 5400, mainly on Itialian channels, say Rai, Often the 5400 says there are no subtitles but the TV will pick them up on text. The problem with this is I cant record with subtitles, whereas if the 5400 has subtitles I can.
Any way round to record and include subtitles.

I presume you mean teletext, subtitles in the stream and subtitles on teletext are two completely different things

If it says no subtitles then there are no subtitles in the stream and theres nothing you can do about that, your box
doesn't decode teletext your tv does

That means I can only record subtitles when they are in the stream.
