Satellite Arc Graph

Hi all,

I have a few satellite antennas to install and relocate in Lagos towards various satellites at the moment and I came across an excel sheet I made a few years ago to draw the satellite arc viewed from a particular location so it may be useful to some others here.

Just enter your latitude and longitude in decimal format and the excel graph will draw the satellite arc for your location so you can quickly work out elevation angle etc.

Another good way of locating a satellite (that I've found useful, anyway) is the sun. I know it's only behind the satellite twice a year but it's at azimuth location every day. And then you could have a chart saying how many degrees the satellite is above/below the sun :)

.....just found I need to cut some trees down as I had a nice shadow on my dish when looking at 53E (that was at 8:55 this morning). Lovely.....
