iv'e got a st550 thats gathering dust, may 06 was the last patch
and now they have new models out, we have more chance of
winning the lotto than getting a patch mate, i changed to a tm 1500
and these have plenty of support plus they are cheaper than a t-rex cam.

Hi m8's forgot that I had put a post I had a tm but did not like it changed it for a manhattan best thing i did even if there is no more patches for this model, also has a built in positioner.

thanks for replies

Andrew

The Manhattan Plaza ST receivers are very good in some respects - not least that they actually have a 36v model. Software support for their receivers, though, has always been shortlived. I'm very surprised you didn't like the Technomates - still, each unto his own!

i did the opposite mate, i changed to a tm 1500
and a v-box and this cost less than the manhattan st550
and it works my 1.2 dish 36v motor first class.
i will agree with you the manhattan st range are a good quality
receiver but manhattan once again have let the costomers down
with lack of support, very strange there's patches for there new
models but for how long, untill they've sold enough of this range
and then anouther new model, if you look there are many users who
say they will never buy any manhattan models again and you never
see anyone posting very much about these now.
my change to technomate was the best move i ever made.

Manhattans have the 36v positioner option and good back-up if they fail, but software support is hopeless - always has been. Enough's enough!
