I am in the market for this model. I would be interested in some feedback from the users of this model please. Also which is the most economical place to buy?

It was one of the best selling models by Sony... There were some clouding issues with the earlier models and I am not sure if it is still the same with the current models.

I think Digitech Electronics (Google it) are selling for the cheapest or register at Avfoums.co.uk and there is section dedicated to LCD tv's

Don't buy the 40w2000. It is an old model as it is being replaced by the 40W3000! The w3000 is far superior to the w2000 as it incorporates 100Hz Technology, 1080/24p for Blu Ray watching, 3 HDMI ports and a much improoved motion engine.

£1,379.00 inc VAT from Digitech I bought from them and are good -- I have the 40W2000U I paid £1100 few months ago - cant fault it. But the 3000 with 16,00-1 ratio pluis other benefits you cant go wrong with this.
But the SONY KDL-40W2000U goes for £849.75 inc VAT I buy that personally -- with a over 500£ saving is it really worth that much more? Plus they offer now a 5 year free warranty looks like, thats worth £250 alone.

Cancelled the mother and went for the KDL-46X3500 instead. Arrived on the 17th thats some telly:cool:

Found out that the bigger the screen and higher the def. the more problems you see. It shows the crap on transmissions as well as the good. Love the USB Mem stick photo viewer facility on it.
