I do not get any sound on premiere when I either turn on the channel or change channels. I do get it back on when I use the green button on my Humax and move the soundtrack from the bottom DEU to the middle one. However when the channel is moved or even the signal stopped for a second say, the audio has to be reset to this middle soundtrack.

I guess its just an irritation but if using the timer on the Humax, there would be no sound. I would be most grateful for any advice please, thanks.

It sounds like you have Doilby Digital set ON. Use Menu/Intallation/System Settings/AV Settings and ensure that Dolby Digital is OFF.
