picture wont display in web browser

when i hit the web-x button in the dream web browser no picture is diplayed i have vlc installed any ideas (mozilla)

have you made sure your firewall is not blocking anything?

what do you get on the screen?

a blank window saying no video its also the same on my laptop

did you do a full install of VLC . It needs a plug in (cannot remember the name).

Any way, uninstall and reinstall with every setting.

Try that.

also, not sure buit have you initaited the HTML interface. That is needed for the movie player plugin so may be needed for web x.

VLC plugin is only needed if you use Web X TV much better to hit VLC button instead and launch VLC

As for no video showing you need to select a different video module instead of the default used by VLC

Look at the shot below and select a different one from the drop down box and then save, try the following ones

DirectX 3D video output
DirectX video output
OpenGL video output

PS : You need to check advanced options bottom right

I've got this problem and have had it ever since I've had my DM. It's an intermittent fault, it sometimes works, most often doesn't. Has anybody found a solution to it?

Try different versions of vlc on your pc.

use vlc 0.8.6i with pli jade 2 image
