Latest Uk/Ireland map with tt 5.2

Which is the latest maps that will work with TT 5.2 on a win mobile 6 smart phone? My maps are a little outdated. I know there is a problem with newer maps and TT 5.2?

Check the version number - but you wont get any newer maps to work on V5.

i know it to be true,but why?
surely it cant be too hard to modify newer maps to work with 5.2.
untill i get a newer phone i cant run newer software and i would like the latest maps.ian.

If you were always allowed to use new maps with your old device then nobody would ever upgrade to their latest products, and earn TomTom revenue. :rolleyes:

I think the latest TT 6 will work with windows mobile 5 but not with mobile 6. I have a PDA (Running windows mobile 5) which is running TT version 6 and its fine. My HTC mobile is windows mobile 6 and will only run TT5.2. Perhaps another decent GPS software would be a good idea? Shame as TT seems the best.

for me its not just a question of upgrading my phone,as thats what i rum tomtom on.
thats easy and free if i sign a contract,the problem i have is the car kit,it cost £175 and the sound comes through the cd speakers.all new phones have different connections and also much less sturdy to mine(jack plug type),so im loath to pay for another car kit just to have the latest maps.thats why i thought someone would have modified some of the newer maps to run on 5.2,as surely i cant be alone in this.
so untill someone starts a business making converters for phone connections to the car kit,im stuffed.ian.
