turn off tom tom

can anyone tell me why after put tom tom on it turns it self off

Have you got anything other than standard software on it, mine used to shutdown if I tried to experiment with it. Only other reason I know would be a duff/flat battery.

Have you got it set to turn off when it's not charging ? Could be a poor connection on the mount - is the charge light showing when this happens ? How for does it get on booting up before it turns off ?
