Hi All

Just read a review on this rx, like a lot of people on this forum I am interested in buying a High Def. rx. Has any one any experience with this box?
I notice in the review it can upscale SD pictures to improve display on a HD ready TV.
Any info appreciated.

Hope this helps .I am looking at the Kathrein ufs910 HD as its a Linux os as I have a Dream box at present .You can forget having to buy cams . I have only seen these on German web sites . Picture out is said to be stunning and the best .

Have used the Arion for a month now, fully motorised with a Diablo Cam.Works very well, but possibly picture quality comes in second to the Ferguson on the HD channels

Hi Gordon,

The Ferguson HF8800 HD looks to be i nice unit . Not sure on the in built cam ?I have looking for a HD reciever and am thinking on the Kathrein ufs 910.
Worth a look as its got Linux and new software runs Mgcam .This set has been out since the begining of 2007 and a lot of the software bugs have been sorted out . You can get this unit for about £230 from Germany ?
Plus points - Linux -opened
- External Hard drive via USB 2 with software
- Very good picture reported in reviews .


Negative - no DiSEqC switche for motor drive -YET only -DiSEqC 1.0 LNB 4* SWITCH.

Yes gordon, if you go to that well known auction site and do a search for upgraded Humax power supplies (there`s only one listing), email him he sells them.

There`s a nice built in emulator as well so you don`t really need the extra Cam.
