I thought i would post this here as it is another linux box it will run current Dreambox firmware I think it may well be a copy of the Dream500.

Probably not too bad but would pay the few quid extra for the 9100 loads more options and power and not alot in cost, but these prices are great for us users, used to pay more for a cam!!

A Dreambox clone will only be a problem, WHY? Spend you money on a decent box;)

These are not the breambox branded fake clones, that were knocking about.
They are a lot cheaper than the 500 and are rumored to use the same images.

If they use a Dreambox Image they are a clone, they should sort there own software out???:eek:

Didn`t mean to upset anyone with my post, just thought it would be a cheap way into linux box sat reception.

the best images come from teams that make the images for the box not the manufacture of the box, so does it mater what badge is on it?
I dont believe the dreambox's is worth the extra cash over some of the rivals, but not all the rivals are good box's.
Its all down to choice and is can only be good to have choice and competition for thats how things move on.

Got to agree with tr8, If they are of the right quality and can do the job cheaper, why not take advantage of this, If the price of the dm500 falls in line than this is healthy competition.
