Tom Tom Version 3-No SD slot

Hi ,

I have just bought tom tom version 3 , and it hasn't got any SD card slot, the map is installed on the hardware. Does that means I would not be able to install any additional map inside the tom tom.

Think the internal memory is only 512mb, so not much space to add any extra maps.

I wondered why it was much cheaper.

I take it that it can be updated - is that via bluetooth or what?

Should be able to update with a cable & using Tomtom Home / or using the cable it should be seen as an extra or external drive.

Thanks. I returned it to the store and exchanged it for XL version, which has card slot.

Glad you got success and thanks for the warning. I'd toyed with the idea of getting one as a Xmas prezzy for the sprog.

Update: Got a One XL (UK) as well and will use the excellent stuff from Russell1 to add an SD with W. Europe maps before he visits me.
