Just got myself a "Sandisk SD Extreme III" as my kingston elite pro has split although it still works, anyway build quality on these are much higher plus they're rated 133x

Just thought I would post in case someone is looking got my 1GB for £11.99 but think its worth it considering what they were originally

Been looking at some of these new faster SD cards.
Have you found any improvement with them in the box?
Was wondering if any one had timed/compaired the standard SD cards and the new faster ones. As you say some are now very cheap
Can get a 2gb Extreme ( 66x speed) for £8.99 including postage
or the 2gb Extreme 111 ( 20mb sec!!) £14.99 inc post

Well worth the cost if it helps my technomate

I save my iboot images on ubuntu and it did seem to write the images to the new card slightly faster

Any speed improvement I would say is going to have an effect on the swap file if its on your SD but I cant say about
performance as my kingston performed fine and my TM is stable

Theres a comparison here

I had a 4gb hc sd card working fine, but 4gb was a bit big and a waste, the swap was 512mb!! Have a standard 1gb sd in at moment and it is stable, was just a hope that when switching cams would improve the speed
