View Full Version : can i setup a dish within a flat with double glazing

hell every one
i recently moved to a new flat where no dish outside is allowed i got a massive window in both bed/livingroom i was told i 'm facing the hotbird side but i need to know can i get a dish which allows me to watch hotbird any channel will do please advice :confused:

any dish will do need to be a little bigger due to loss glass will decrease the signal

nice one mate will do that, and is it true that a powerfull LNB e.g 0.2Db will help as well

double glazing will further decrease your signal with some types of glass vertually no signal will pass through I sugjest you look into it further if you have a dish give it a go you can use a tripod to fix the dish a good quality .3 would be ok

I think your be lucky to get any signal at all through glass I've heard of people changing the glass in skylights to thick plastic to get signal
