Im trying to find the latest map for the uk and rep of ireland the version on my tomtom one uk is v675.1409.

That's the latest copied map that will work. There are v7** maps available but the copied v7** maps cannot be activated, you'll have to buy them from tomtom.
You can download the latest version of Tomtom home - install the latest software to your tomtom & then use the mapshare facility.
