Hi guys

Im at uni at the moment and miss all the footy on my technomate. Does anyone know if its possible to use the Slingbox to watch the channels on my laptop?
For anyone that doesnt know it streams the signal over the net, would be well cool if i could do this!!

thanks

Hi if you have the neccesary output connections on your receiver
and broadband you should be able to stream to your laptop. I stream
the footy to my son using a db500 and slingbox.

Connect box video to sling and sling to your network then use slingplayer soft on your pc and it works (after you setup user and pass).
It can be more complicated to network it but it works well. For good picture quality you need a good upload speed 500k to 1Mb/s any less than 500 is a bit like Utube
Remote controls are thin on the ground for non run of the mill sat boxes.
I had to diy my own..not so easy but got there in the end.
