View Full Version : Tm 6900 /dvd

i have just took delivery of TM6900 and am very impressed with quality of picture quality
for a test i plugged in my 4 GIG pen which is formatted to FAT32 and recorded onto it for short period
when i have plugged pen into my computer to try and download onto DVD it will not recognise the files
when i open the files on the pen they show
DVD movie info
IDX file
Transport stream.
can anyone advise as to what i need to convert and burn to DVD.
i would normally use Roxio.

try using convert to dvd or superv and avs video converter6

there is a program called videoredo which I use. It converts from .tp to mpg and then if you want you can burn to dvd.
Its a while since I did it so I can't be that specific.
try searching videoredo on this forum and I actually think there is a sticky posting on the tm6000 section.

One more thing - when you get an external drive make sure it DOESNT have its own power supply as these tend to go to sleep and don't wake up to record. Use a passport size drive which is powered by usb only. pcworld have a 500mb one for only £60, which I think is a bargain:

If the recorded video is in several parts join them first to one file on your computer. Then transform .TRP to .TS witha program like TS-Doctor:

You can use a program called ConvertXtoDvd no need to transform just load the file tp and make dvd, very easy to use
