hi,i have made a mess of my tom tom 910.i updated my maps as instructed on here.the first mistake was deleting the western europe folder without backing up. i replaced it with the link to the uk and ireland including we. i ran the command to generate the activation code. after rebooting the tomtom,it asked for the code,it accepted. now the tomtom will keep rebooting itself and doesnt respond or is delayed.seems more was in the folder i deleted. also the tomtom home software udated from 1.5 to 2.1. i dont even see the speed camera folder in the tomtom. is there anything i can do? cheers

Use Tomtom Home & get the latest software version for your 910. Once it's all sorted out use the speed camera files posted in the forum :D.

i will try that,the tomtom did manage to update to the mapshare though,even though tomtom home kept saying my device wasnt compatible with the current maps,i had updated at that point. will let you know how i get on,thanks

You want to get the v675.1409 maps to use with the mapshare facility.

hi,i have the 675.1409 maps, version 7.162 also. everything is just messed up and delayed.its that slow the tomtom gives up and turns off/on. cheers

something isnt right.when i connect to tomtom home,autoplay zip comes up. all i done here was download the postal code for uk and placed in this folder.these was from the link you provided.i can go through the menu on the tomtom,but soon as i come to postcode input,it will go delayed or freeze,then reboot itself. if i get to the map/main screen,the direction doesnt move.i wish now i had left the thing as it was,i should of read more first.

Did you extract the two files from the postcode zip & put them both into the folder named ' zip ' on your Tomtom ?

hi m8,yes i did.i have noticed that if i remove the uk,ireland,w.e maps folder from the tomtom,everything will work fine with no freezes.the address input,etc works as it should,obviously on the other maps. now if i put the uk,ireland,w.e maps back on the tomtom,everything goes biserk and will delay or reboot,so something is not quite right somewhere,or i am doing something wrong. i have reset the tomtom,and hard reset also,but it doesnt help. cheers

hi russell,i have just looked in this uk folder on the tomtom and noticed 2x files simaler, one is the cline.dat 124.487kb and one is cline.datmoztmp 124.487. other than those 2 files,i cant see anything wrong with the folder. thanks

Don't know what's wrong, unless there's an error with the map folders.
Have a look at this new thread - the v7 maps have now been cracked -

I know that other users have got this one working on their 910 units.
